Deck Cleaning & Restoration in Worcester

I clean and restore wooden and composite decking in Worcester and the surrounding villages, from a simple clean to make it safe underfoot, to a full clean, sand and oil in your choice of 18 shades. I don't blast timber with high pressure, which damages the fibres. Deck cleaning starts at £4.50/m², with a £125 minimum.

Choose the level of restoration

1. Clean and treat

For decks and fences in good condition that just need the green taking off. I clean off the dirt and algae, then apply a biocide to kill the spores, so the deck is safe to walk on again. From £4.50/m².

2. Clean and brighten

For weathered, grey timber. After cleaning, I use trade-only treatments to strip the biofilm and the grey, sun-damaged surface fibres, bringing back the natural colour of the wood. It's ideal preparation if you want to oil or seal the deck yourself. From £12/m², including the clean.

3. Full restoration: clean, sand and oil

For a like-new finish. I wash gently so the timber doesn't "fur", remove the biofilm, apply a biocide to kill the spores, then sand once it's fully dry. I finish with a premium oil-based sealer from Woodcare UK, in your choice of 18 shades from natural oak to deep ebony. From £32/m², including the clean. The final price depends on the condition of the wood and access.

I clean composite decking too, using methods that remove algae and staining without etching or marking the surface.

For example, a 20 m² deck costs from £125 to clean and treat (the minimum), and a 40 m² deck from £180. A restoration costs far less than a new deck.
