Patio Repointing in Worcester
If the pointing on your patio is cracked, crumbling or full of weeds, you don't need a new patio. I rake out the old joints, clean the paving and repoint it with the jointing material that suits your patio and budget. Repointing starts at £15/m², plus the cleaning price for your surface.
How I repoint your patio

Weed treatment, if required. Where weeds are rooted in the joints, I apply a systemic weed killer and leave it 10–14 days to kill the roots before starting.

Rake out. I remove the failed jointing to give the new material a clean, deep channel to bond to. I can relay loose slabs, within limits.

Clean. I pressure wash the whole patio, then apply a post-wash treatment chosen to suit your stone to deal with black spot, lichen and spores.

Repoint. I apply your chosen jointing material to every joint, fully compacted with a smooth finish.

Tidy up. I rinse down the surrounding areas and leave everything clean.
I can also seal the patio afterwards to enhance the colour and help reduce staining.
Which jointing should you choose?
Lifespans assume a well-laid, stable patio.

Brush-in compound: lasts 2–5 years. The quickest and cheapest option, in several colours. From £15/m².

Flowpoint rapid grout: lasts 20+ years. Very durable and used on commercial jobs, in a few colours. Weather-dependent and not suitable for every patio. From £25/m².

Nexus Titan (epoxy): lasts 20+ years. Very strong, with excellent frost and chemical resistance, in 5 colours. From £30/m².

Sand and cement: lasts around 10 years. The traditional finish, but labour-intensive, so it costs the same as Titan. From £30/m².

Pointing prices are on top of cleaning, which depends on your surface: from £3.50/m² for concrete, and from £4/m² for natural stone and porcelain.
