XTX Limited offer a number of different patio repointing options depending on your tastes and budget.

Our process for repointing includes:
Phase 1: Pre-Treatment & Preparation: If required, we apply a professional-grade systemic herbicide to destroy deep-seated root systems. We allow a 10–14 day period to ensure the treatment is fully effective before work commences.

Phase 2: Precision Joint Removal: We carefully remove the failed or weathered jointing compound from your patio area and pathways. This ensures the new material has a clean, deep channel for a long-lasting bond. We will relay loose slabs if required, within limits.

Phase 3: Deep Restoration & Sanitisation: The entire surface is thoroughly pressure-washed. We then apply a specialist fungicidal treatment to the paving to eradicate blackspot, lichen, and organic spores that standard washing cannot reach.

Phase 4: Specialist Repointing: Once prepared, your chosen jointing material is professionally applied to all joints. We ensure full compaction and a smooth finish across the patio.

Phase 5: Final Site Handover: We conduct a final rinse-down of the site, ensuring all surrounding areas, buildings, and foliage are left clean and organised.

We can also offer sealing of the patio to enhance the colour of your patio and help reduce staining.

Jointing Options & Durability

We offer four tiers of jointing materials to suit your budget and performance requirements.

Note: Lifespan estimates are based on a well laid, structurally stable and sound patio.

1. Budget - Brush-in Compound: This is the quickest and cheapest option, favoured by landscapers that want to keep their costs down. The average lifespan of most brush in jointing compounds is 2–5 years.

It is cost-effective, quick refreshment and available in a number of colours.

2. High-Performance - Flowpoint Rapid Grout: This is a very durable jointing product. It is widely used in commercial installations. It is not suitable for all patios though and is weather dependant. The average lifespan of Flowpoint is 20+ years.
Maximum durability and a sleek, contemporary look. Available in a couple of colours.

3. Premium - Nexus Titan: Titan is a 2-Part Epoxy jointing compound, which is extremely durable. The average lifespan of Titan jointing compound is 20+ years.

It has high strength with excellent chemical and frost resistance. It is available in 5 colours.

4. Traditional - Sand & Cement Pointing:    The average lifespan of traditional sand and cement pointing is around 10 Years

A classic finish but is very labour intensive, which makes it a similar price to the premium pointing like Titan.

We can also relay loose patio slabs as part of the repointing process.
